Does anyone know if Oakley still does repairs on the original Timebomb? The rubber in mine is completely gone. Turns out its rather uncomfortable without it, plus they act as spacers that seperate the band from the watch. I would also like to see if its possible to get the hardax (pardon my spelling) crystal replaced. Has anyone sent theirs in for repair recently? I know I could just call but u know how customer service is, kinda a mixed bag.

That sucks about the rubber, but $100 US isn't bad for a crystal replacement, thanks for the info!

I last changed the crystal on an Icon Small in 2008 or 2009, and it was US$45. Haven't tried since.

Walk-in warranty still has parts as far as I know, but we can always check to see if we have the parts available with just a phone call...

My 12 gauge went missing in Dec/Jan/Feb and they found it sitting on a a desk in the "TimeBomb Repair" dept so i would still say, yes they do still repairs.

NO idea about the rubber. The crystal can be polished out. I did it for Brent:

If they can replace the crystal, that's even better.

Ben, I just sent you a PM.

Rob, thanks.

Personally, if I was going to be sending the TB back for the rubber bits anyway, I'd just as soon have Oakley replace the crystal (if it was cheap enough). NOthing like having new parts.

Bumping this just to note that there are officially no longer any replacement crystals in stock. I just sent mine back for a capacitor replacement (which weirdly there is a 10+ year supply of.)
