Most important design consideration is the use of fabric material for a thong, as plastic or rubber are prone to break. Excellent padding. Very very comfortable. Has enough contours that follows the shape of the foot nicely. Love the unique and aggressive tread pattern design underneath, with the contour separation of the midsole to outer, finished off with a stretchline logo. Got this in late 2004, when stretchline was the thing alongside the FatCat, amongst other offerings at the time. When I look back on it, this was the last hurruh of peak Oakley design during the mad science era, just before blocline and square O were introduced in 2005.

My Oakley Latitude Sling Pack just arrived today. So far so good, it is very spacious, but my main concern is the lack of specialized pockets. As Sohbz says, is can fit quite large water bottles, I have a Dopper Insulated (1L) - Blazing Black water bottle and it fits with ease. I would be happy to wear it for some time and come back to report on it.

Also, the Latitude Sling Pack has a sort of criss-crossing string on the outermost side in front of the parachute fabric, if anyone could tell me what that's used for, it would be highly appreciated. I have had my Crystal Black since 2019, and I still rock them daily! Compared to my Plazma, the Dogs are basically a tank! I also have the Cinder Red, Snow camo, Shadow camo and Rust, but i still only rock the Crystal!!

I bought the Army Green (It's kaki brown, not green) and the Blackout. Love these and they have replaced my Crocs! Comfy but run a little big. They dry ASAP as soon as you start walking. Perfect water, hiking hybrid!

Anyone have an idea where I can get any of these boxed?

Damn- how do I buy?

I recently purchased the Steel Blue version of this model. It’s very stylish, and a lot of people complimented the design. As for the color, despite its nice name, it doesn’t stand out as much as I expected—I wish it were lighter or more metallic, as that would make it pop more. It’s actually quite dark, almost black, and you can only really tell it’s blue if you get very close to the face.

Aside from that, the design is excellent. One piece of advice (because I was very naive): whenever you replace the lenses or have any kind of maintenance done, make sure to check whether the optical shop replaced the screws. If they did, take photos (actually, always take pictures of the screws before sending your glasses in for any service). My glasses only broke because the shop replaced the screws—after the first time I accidentally sat on them, they broke and one of the screws got stuck inside. The result: I lost the glasses, and they couldn’t be repaired. Important note: only the replacement screws broke—the original screws remained completely intact.

Overall, aside from that issue, I highly recommend them. They look great, especially on more square or longer face shapes.
