Many thanks to Rustpot for helping me with the last lens shape that I needed. Figured I'd do a quick comparison shot at once so you can get the actual differences.

I had no idea that they made so many different lens style variations.

Plus 3 for the Blade system, and 4 for Radar, and 2 for the Endure. I don't have all those though.

You're no longer complete, Dann. The SI Strike is now its own shape, the Agro Strike.

Noooooo. Is this just with the 3.0 or the 2 as well.

All you need to know about the 3.0 Argo lens:

I happen to have 4 of them. 2 clear, a photochromic and a grey. And two 3.0 dark bone frames.

I can be persuaded to not have so many...

In time perhaps. I still regret not jumping on the Multicam before they were backordered.

Yeah, not sure what happened with that. I know Multicam is a protected pattern and requires licensing, maybe Oakley didn't know that, or decided to drop the line for some other reason.

Actually I remember now. I was waiting for the Multicam Assault Goggle 2.0, which never came, and then in the mean time the M Frame disappeared. The Patriot Outfitter site above says they should be back in stock 1/14 though. Guy at HQ said they should too.

Unless its one of the very early releases (and since its a strike, it should be fine) modern m frame lenses will work. The M2 will also sort of fit modern m frames but since the vintage ones are a bit more fragile, I wouldn't risk that.

That's almost the same setup as my first pair... which I also wore for baseball. My frames were carbon fiber, but seeing these brings back the memories.

Strike lenses are one of the hardest to find now a days
Wish I'd kept mine
Great pair

Nice shot on all the lens options.

Is there a specific use(design) for each shape?

Or did Oakley just wanted to give the customers options?

The Slash seemed to be use more often for Basketball since it was the largest, and had the ventilation and thick foam to keep sweat out of their eyes. The rest didn't seem to be sport specific, and was more for personal preference.

Awesome photo comparison. Saved the image to my computer. With photos like that you should put together a coffee table book for Oakley!

Heh, we planned one in 2006, but as with many collaborative efforts, it remained stagnant after lack of contribution. I'm slowly accumulating blocks of info and writing scripts for future video series, but it takes ages. I did get a grey New Hybrid that I need to photograph since the Clear is a bit hard to see. I might try to align these better since the angles tend to distort the sizes a bit.
