I picked up a pair of the Tour de France Eyeshades that were re-released a few years back off eBay for fun. I'm not really a collector, but I've had my eye on them for a bit, and finally decided to pull the trigger.

For others that have these, are your temples kinda loose, as in, you can wiggle them up and down a bit? The seller said they mainly sat in his glovebox and he rarely wore them. The frames and lens look like they are in great shape. If they should be tight, then I want to work something out with the seller.

The same style hinge was used from 1984-1993 on many models and it wasn't perfect. Since the re-release used the old molds, it does tend to be loose. You could try taking them off and compressing the tabs, but it will most likely open up again once putting it back on.
