Ok fellas...

As we speak I have a pair of Flesh and my only pair of SI Boots in the dishwasher....never had shoes that would last so long they could be worn out from the inside out....gotta be cleaned - on the inside. Shoes on bottom - soles on top. Against better advice on the site, we will see what happens...

LOL....you should have seen my wife's face this morning when she came downstairs and all the dishes were piled in the sink...and my Oak's were stuck in ths dishwasher.....

So far so good - in the "air dry" stage...

Maybe - but the dishwasher is much easier....so far so good...they are in the "air dry" phase at the moment....they look great and I know they smell better....

Can;t you machine wash most shoes if you stuff them in a pillow case or something?

Yeah but man, that's so hard on your washer...plus I think streams of water are easier on your shoes than being submerged...I dunno - works awesome on my hats - they keep their form/shape and come out good as new.

i have never heard of that before cos ive been looking for a good way to clean my hats, i made the mistake long ago of chucking one in with the washing.

Ok Guys...wore both pair today - took a couple of days to dry but they look great, kept their shape and are no worse for the wear - just smell much better!

Anyway, if anyone ever has the same requirement....you heard it here first!

I think i'm gonna give it a try on my shoe three's they are pretty funky, and i have a shoe dryer so they should dry faster than a few days

Personaly as an Air Jordan shoe collecter the best way to wash up your shoes is by hand to much water can possibly cause damage to the shoe and to much heat can cuz some shrinkage inside the shoes fabric areas. But Im just a freak with the Js I keep most of them put away, I wear my new oakley switchbacks more than any other shoe I love them, if you want to deadstock your Oakley shoes and keep them in brand new condition hit the guys up on any Niketalk.com forum they tell you all the tricks to keep your shoes brand new forever.

For what it's worth - here are my recommendations:

Shoes on the bottom - upsidedown and tilted/back so water will not stand in the toe. Soles on top...

Use normal cycle and warm water if you have the option - I used hot on mine...

Use liquid dishwashing soap as opposed to crystal/powder so to not leave any type of residue.

I would recommend an air dry as you want them to dry slowly and heat is very hard on the leather/glue/etc...

Just my 2 cents!
