I have seen that. Or have I? I have seen an Ookley jet that is White Camo. I can't tell in that photo. I always thought it was to transport their snow/skate teams or an air-limo to transport important people around.

Yeah, I can just imagine what he thinks about in the morning...

"Should I take the gray riveted one or the white camo one today?"

Are you sure it's not the same jet with a new paint job. I'm sure he doesn't need two. Then again, 'needing' is hardly an issue at this point I guess.

My guess is that they are two different planes. If you look at the engine, each plane has a unique registration number. It would not make sense to change the registration for a new paint job.

Hey! There's the White Camo one. I remember where I saw it too. Someone was selling photos of it on ebay a few months back.

Right you are, Phil. Instead of buying the photos on eBay, I just saved them to disk.

I had thought I did too. Obviously not on this machine though. Probably at home on the ibook.

Oh, my vote is one is Jannards (who I have read doesn't live in Cali anyway and would need it) and the other is for other higher ups/VIPs.

I have a real good shot of Jannard in an old military jeep with a 50 cal gun mounted on the rear. I will try and get it up tomorrow for all to see.

Is that a Boeing 717 at John Wayne Airport (SNA)?

Yes, I still have the Jannard Military Jeep. I will bring it in to work and scan it for you guys tomorrow. Completely slipped my mind. It even says somehting in the caption about him being on his own private island. Thanks for the reminder.

I used to work at UAL (before I got Furloughed!!) and I got a bit familiar with Boeing's fleet. Anyway, I didn't see 717-200 anywhere on the plane but the design sure looks like it. Go to Boeing's site and compare.

I used to work at Boeing (before they layed off a boatload of people). Yes, the rear-engine T-tail configuration is quite similar. I do believe the Oakley Plane is a Bombardier Global Express or something like that.
