I just bought a pair of juliets off a guy and one of the screws seems to be stripped. I can remove the other one no problem but not this one. Can i get a replacement screw? Any ideas on how to get it out?

Also the center nose bridge seems to be loose on one side of the frame. Anyway to tighten it up?

its weird bc when i was trying to unscrew it i was putting some force on it to try to keep it from skipping and the lense started to pop out. Should i try to remove the lens and see if it loosens up the screw by releaving some of the pressure off the frame? Does that make any sense?

lol , i damaged the screw thread on my valve and i couldn't repair it anymore and due to warranty problems , our local oakley servicing refused to repair it for me

I guess it comes with the custom territory.

I have removed them from Pennies...Use an allen key or a fine straight screwdriver. I will be going to HQ on saturday if you need I can try to get you some.

i think apply vertical pressure while unscrewing will help

I have a juliet problem also... I just bought a new pair of Ducati Juliets. When you close the stems on one side it actually goes past the lense...just on one side. I have a pair of Ichiro's that do not have this issue. It looks like the stopper meant to catch, is not working or stopping it. But it looks exactly like the side that is working. Not a major problem, but $200+ for glasses, you want them to perform like they are meant to.

I should be getting a new Carbon in soon, we'll see how that one fares in the quality department.

May look good but it wouldn't be worth it without the XYZ, in my opinion.

I disagree...how many of us have pairs that they don't even wear ? That's a pair for the collection, no matter what use you make of 'em, including NOT wearing them. Some people don't even open the box and keep their Ruby Juliet in the dark ;)

I will check on those lenses tomorrow since I am going on Saturday. If HQ has them, they WILL BE MINE!!!!!!

to anyone who cares: YES i was finally able to remove the stripped screw. I went to a precision mechanics shop and bought the best driver i could find. 6$ for it. Did the job like the screw was not even stripped at all...beautiful.

ya np man....its Whia brand. any precision mechanics shop will sell these. Not cheap though like i said 6$ each. The tip on it is amazing though. Its so perfectly crafted.

Finally got my Carbon Juliet. The nosebridge is fine, but the earstems are wonky. A bit loose than my Mars and Romeo, and they touch the orbitals when closed. I don't think this ever happened on my old Carbon and X Metal Juliets...

I also had the problem with a damaged screw.

I just drilled / bored the screw up. Sounds crazy - but hey, its a x-metal frame. Of course I took the lens out before. And yes, the frame became very hot. But who cares? Nothing bad happend, the only thing is that I now need to get a new screw.

Lol... I didn't realize that this is impossible. Means that I left the lense within the frame while drilling... this is just about 3 weeks ago and I allready forgot how I did it lol.

But - the frame and the lense are definitely still in a excellent condition.

Sounds like a lie now... but I really drilled the screw without any problems.

It IS possible.. you just push it through the front, as with an O Matter.

Certainly not advisable, though. Good chance of chipping or weakening the bevel on the edge of the lens.
