Technically not a custom... factory Ducati Carbon/Ruby

Mine are customs. I have yet to see a true factory X Metal Ichiro, but who knows (FP probably does HAHA). If they made it, it was probably a very limited run and total o may wind up with one or two, but mine are just a custom. X Metal was easier to find than a carbon frame, and I actually like how they turned out. I am debating selling off my X Metal Rubys to work on a few other projects.

For me, the only 'official' custom is the TiO2 / Ice (polarized) Juliet, because Juan Pablo Montoya has sported them and Oakley has a pic of that combo on their website in the Polarized section.

I used to custom my Juliets, but have since given up on it. I still have an X-Metal/Ruby combo with hammer earstems, but may swap it back soon.

all my Juliets are custom but I will only show 4 of that extreme.

(but eakaz, your collection is also incredible - I wondered why nobody has put the VR50 into a other frame like plasma)

Your source is incorrect - there has never been an X-Metal framed Ichiro.

I would still be inclined to think it may have been an early run that was very limited to certain people like the "Corvette" was supposed to be also. It would be the ultimate pair to find in tact with all materials, but they would be the elusive "Eleanore" pair like the car in Gone In 60 Seconds was....Neverless, it would be nice to verify and send some in a frenzied search....Thanks for the info Ed...

Niel, you said your Carbon/Ruby was an "official" Ducati custom. Does the Ruby lens have "Ducati" engraved on it also? I can't see from that angle

Not "official", but "factory". It doesn't exist as a serialed item (beyond the serial of the Ducati Carbon/Black Iridium frame that went into making it) but it's "factory" as in that's how it left the factory.

I think I can answer that for Neil. He won the BTO contest thru Iacon. His choice was to make a carbon/ruby Juliet. I beleive that Oakley inserted the ruby lens into a standard carbon Ducati frame. That is why his is a "Factory built ruby Ducati" of sorts. The lens is a standard without laser engraving.

EDIT: Neil you beat me to it by a couple of minutes.

cal probably has the pinnacle of custom juliets IMHO.

great custom works! of all the posted ones, i like the xmetal/oo blue, xmetal/g30, carbon/g30, and carbon/emerald. but that's just a personal preference though. those Cal's ones are also VERY COOL with the customized nosebridge! :D
