I'm thinking to get a Time Tank bracelet edition but i'm having a hard time choosing a color. I was just wondering which one do you guys prefer between the black dial and silver dial?

Black dials, from any brand of watch, always are my preference.

I think it looks better with the silver dial. The black dial is cool, but I like the matching colors of bracelet and dial. very classy IMHO.

A silver dial will also hide the scuffs and scratches better I think.

Just learned the Time Tank has a quartz movement not automatic. Anyways, they both look good! I haven't decided which color yet :(

Whoa whoa whoa.... hold the phone. So it's not an automatic watch? Isnt this supposed to be the Timebomb replacement? Why is it so much money if it isnt automatic?

FP,
I am invoking a new rule. You pop off, then you have to show the pics.

It is not automatic, but it is swiss made, 13 jewel with gold plated mech. saphire crystal (diff from time bomb), full ti case and bracelet in two colors, and cronograph with 1/10th sec timing. Also, the ti version of the time bomb was 1500 right? so this is 500 less and adds a cronograph and saphire crystal.

sorry, full ti version is only 300 less, 500 less for the leather strap.

That really sucks. I was hoping that it would be vastly different from my GMT, but other than the Swiss movement and titanium, it isnt. Its becoming less and less worth it for me.

I agree wit you Bill. For $1500CAD i would have expected an automatic movement instead of quartz...

So are we going to see some -ve feedback on the Review section for the TT soon?

I still really like this watch due to its style and looks. The internals are not as "great" in some people's minds since this thing runs on batteries and not motion, but to compare this to a gmt you are missing something, the gmt has no cronograph and is a round office styled watch (IMHO). The Tank is edgy, square, single time zoned, and monstrous. It is also light. Watches are valued for different reasons and while I honestly know peanuts about the watch world I could almost place money that this is not the only 1200 watch to run on a battery. At the training I did recently I think they had mentiond something about the cronograph being the reason they did not use "oakley world movement" for this watch.
