Being at a college campus myself, the thought is just scary. Best wishes to their families, and remember to keep them in your prayers.

It's very sad that there are many in the world who are capable of doing such things. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the victim's families, and also for those who are injured that are still being cared for.

This reminds me of the shooting at Dawson College last spring...don't know if you guys heard about it, but it was a school in Montreal, and the guy lived in Laval, my town !

Just sad... I like Chris Rocks theory - Guns can be cheap but bullets should cost $10,000.00 apiece....

then those shooters would rather have an Oakley collection rather that spending $30.000 on a 3 shot burst

My prayers to those people :(

Just wanted to say it's hit hard here in Va, I'm just 2 hours away been to numerous games there. I know about 8 kids up there now, former Football players I've coached, one is a god nephew then about a dozen more girls and a lot from the county here. They've all said it was crazier than the news is decribing it.
If you guys think banning guns is the way to go then what did we declare our independence for over 400 years ago,it was to have a country run by the people not the government. That's why everyone in the world wants to come here even though our country has flaws. I still blame it on all this time out crap, taking corporal punishment away, kids need to be spanked to learn concequnces of there actions. Iv'e seen it worsen in public schools for 15 years dealing with kids.

My heart goes out to all the parents who lost there sons and daughters. No parent ever wants to see the day they out live their own children. To the parents of the wounded and those who were present, may they find the strength to put these and their own broken souls together again. There is no rest for the living and it will take many to heal the few. This is the time for friends and family and it is moments like these when you cannot fathom the end of such loss. But even in this harsh reality, we can find ourselves again. 24 years ago I lost my baby bother at the end of a gun barrel. He was only 21 years old. If it wasn't for my step father and the loving people around my mother, she would have surely have followed him. My son was born 6 months before his death and became 21 years of age in August. My mother was there for his birthday. Soon my son will graduate from the Unversity of Auburn. And only time will tell if my mom or I will see the day. If we look hard enough we can find the rope out of any hole. My heart goes out to you all...

Such a tragic and sad situation indeed. However, it does indeed shed light on a serious problem we do have in this country with our children's safety and security while enrolled at institutions like this. Heck, I have been to some high schools where I didn't feel too secure! What is this county and our world coming to? These children and their families will be in our hearts and prayers.

indeed and he was consider in a judge rulling in 2005 to be not well, or to my books insane.i now hope some laws or preventions can be consider to see this not happening anymore,
we all are living in a world now, that you don't have fear if your kids are going to behave or get them self in any trouble, but in a world you have fear that maybe your kids will go to school and won't come back home.. i mean by these events,,

i pray that this will change back to normal and for sure that this events won't happen again
