My friend is a huge Weezer fan and we actually listened to this song last night. He thought that it was a rip on Oakley and that Weezer was actually making fun of the O. I'm still not sure how to interpret.

Oh its a rip on oakley/oakley wearers/middle aged oakley wearers for sure. Sarcastic or not, I still got a good laugh out it.

Either way, I wasn't too impressed. It's a little too pop for them I think. I liked their harder rock stuff.

Those lyrics hurt, because they are true in my case! Bastards.

I liked the swipe at Timbaland too. And yes, I listen to Timbaland so the kids will think I'm cool! And, it's working.

Weezer Rocks! They are one of my fave bands and I was going to post this info about their new song "Pork & Beans" but I see someone else beat me to it. It's a great song. I love most of their albums, but especially Blue & Green. I'm sure Red will be great too, if this single is any indication. It may be a knock to us 30-somethings who rock the "O" in order to try and be cool, but I forgive 'em. They're just so damn funny!

True story: a bunch of years ago some buddies and I were in a place called in Invermere, BC for the May long weekend and we were at a gig by some mediocre Canadian bar band. After their last set the drummer started hitting on this girl my buddy was into so they got into it. A few harsh words, a couple of chest bumps, but nothing serious. We had to break them up but neither of them threw a punch. Funny part is, to this day my buddy swears it was the drummer from Weezer. Every time a Weezer tune comes on he tells us he hates Weezer and he beath the drummer up. In actual fact the drummer was wearing a Weezer T-shirt but we let him believe he picked a scrap with the drummer from Weezer. Story time is over. Thank you.

I'd never pick a scrap with Nickelback though. That lead singer is tough. And, he's the best singer EVER!

Maybe Weezer is mad becuase only rappers get sponsored by Oakley, maybe weezer was denied some free oakleys...

*ahem* I admit I do enjoy Nickelback, however, in light of recent events regarding the lead singer's appeal on his DUI charge, I will be deleting all Nickelback songs from my iPod ... well not all ... I'm gonna leave "Someday" and "If Everyone Cared" and "Photograph" and "Savin' Me" and "Far Away."

In all honesty, the lead singer's hair is reason enough not to like Nickelback. I just find it funny how EVERYONE claims they hate Nickelback, but when there tunes come on at a pub EVERYONE starts singing along. Funny. I know Eric does too, he told me so.

Chad's facial hair makes his mouth look like a vagina. Seriously, look at him sideways and picture him eating a sausage and tell me that doesn't look like an 80's porno.
