I've seen from a few sources that Schwarzeneggers shades in T2 were Oakleys. I definitely think they aren't. Does anyone know what they actually are>

In The Island when the hummer tumbles over the train parts the bald driver is wearing what look like black twentys with black lenses.

The manager at my o store made it sound like whatever oakley has not sent out will not be sold to anyone and that the products that have arrived that haven't been spoken for are being pulled. Sounds like a total recall to me.

Something else that is a very real possibility is that Total O is actually Oakley selling one offs for lots of cash. He is located in L.A. and I've asked him before how he gets his stuff....zip.

I will say this....In most major U.S. cities there are bound to be excellent optomotrists. Their makers can also make sunglass lenses. For a premium pair of lenses if you spend 100 bucks upwards you can have the material, base of the lens and the exact color made up for you. Also Also consider that most glasses unless you're a real Oak freek, most can't tell about iridium coatings. Again though, you pay enough you can have it applied to a polycarbonate lens. I'd add though that I wouldn't be surprised if Oakley makes this lens. I can only imagine the possibilities.

I did some work for a person on the review here. The most impressive cutting I've been able to do was the extraction of crosshair lenses from non-vented strike lenses. I didn't do it myself. I had it done by an excellent optomotrist. They routed the shape using a very accurate computer mapping system using a crystal cutting machine.

On the positive side guys, with the widespread availability now of ruby in the juliets, it makes the originals with ANY serial all the more valuable. It seems that most or a lot of oakley freeks believe the ruby juliet is a must have for the collection. It seems that the question isn't so much if you have one or not. It is the question of how low is your serial? How red or purple or yellow or orange is your lense? What is the condition? Do you have the original box? Now I think that the last question is huge, especially with how the serial on the box was discontinued at some point I believe. Does anyone else have skepticism about the occasional ruby M Frame you see? Some psotive reds can be mistaken in photos most definitely. I wonder if Total O's m frames on ebay look like that or if the picture was touched up.

I'm dissapointed with hopw you can custom build a ruby juliet now for 100 bucks less than before. A whole bunch of people rushed to get the the new rubys this past spring, and now the exclusiveness is gone and you're going to see it everywhere.

I took off the leather on my second leather pair to embark on this project. The bumps are filed down and glue is used to keep the leather on. The stitiching is superficial.

Optomotrists could engrave ichiro's sig. I'm thinking it will be more appropriate to put in my own sig though. Ichiro's sig would make it feel to much like a wannabe, and not a product of inspiration.

Impossible. Only the Oil Drum and M Frame lenses will fit.

I agree. Consumers don't need worry about getting shot in the face and their sunglasses remaining intact.

Ichiro's signature can be super imposed onto a lense. It will be done.

If it says so on the frame then yes. Some older ones have it printed extremely small by the hinge on the arms.
