I have 2 pair of Clifden and really like the style but I have a very thin/narrow face and they look pretty big on me so I don't wear them that often. I wish Oakley made an "S" version or they had a smaller lens like the Mars.

Thanks for the advice Micah on the MVP!

oh that's too bad, but makes sense to differentiate it a little from the MVP. I personally don't like when the arms don't match the frame (I like more of a unified look) and would've consider these since I missed out on the MVP but not interested since the arms are different. Thanks for sharing Micah!

The Clifden reminds me of the MVP version with different lenses.

Random question... do new Kato's still have the Factory Pilot etching on the inside of the lens or did only the first batch have them? I recently got a pair of sapphire from a reputable store and just happened to notice that they don't have the etching on the inside of the lens. I've compared them to my 2 other Kato's and I can't find any evidence that they are fake but it made me wonder if somehow they were sent some fake ones.

If Oakley is still etching the inside of the lens then I want to send these back and get a legit pair!

Would you return glasses with a lens imperfections like this? - jhuff79

No cause they are sold out and you won't be able to get a replacement.

Thanks MicahS and O_taj1242 for the pics! This new design/update isn't reflected in any of the pics of the Kato on Oakley's site.

Curious to know if the glasses fundamentally look the same as the original ones? Also, wonder how the lens snaps into the arms?

From what I heard/read there were 5000 of each color made of the Sub Zeros. Since the non-frosted planet X was never in any of the promotional pics do you think it is a mistake on Oakley's part that they got out?
If you think it's a mistake which do you think is rarer, the frosted or non-frosted?

If you don't think it's a mistake do you think there are 5000 frosted and 5000 non-frosted out in the wild?

Just curious as to people's thoughts...

This kind of crap never happened when Jannard was running the show.

I'm not 100% sure I want to keep these non-frosted, so if anyone receives frosted in the US and wants to possibly trade let me know.

My Planet X / Prizm Road just arrived, ordered directly from Oakley in the USA and they aren't frosted! Kind of pissed and they had this smudge on them but thankfully it wiped off.

One question, Are two different tone colors for the 24k?? I bought one pair and was very very gold, but they have a problem, and changed it for other pair, and are more dark.
- Galvez1978

Do you happen to have pics of both of them? I'd love to see the difference...

It's not cool to blame it on high temperatures, they have to know what temps products will experience throughout the shipping process and even what the user may put their products through. It's not like this is the first time Oakley has shipped a pair of glasses ever. Just down to poor design/adhesive material choice and I see it being a larger problem in the future. They should definitely warranty anyone's glasses that this happens to.

They are a little big for my face (need a KATO S version) but oh well. I love them regardless. :)

Has anyone heard if there will be a Kato S?
