I'm a big Voltron fan, I'm thinking of picking up this 30th anniversary book coming out soon, I wish there was more info about what exactly will be inside of it though.
I'd get that, but it would bring back the memory of when I gave away my full Voltron set to my cousin, naively expecting it to naturally just come back to me one day.
Ah, that's too bad. My parents threw away all my old toys at some point, it was a bummer, my vintage stuff was pretty beat up though as I put them to work plenty when I was a kid, haha.
I had chances to get things back at yardsales between then, and the overpriced days of recent times on ebay, but it felt cheap just rebuying things. Rather just hold on to the things that survived.
Army men and Hot Wheels - gone. My mother tried to replace them when I was in my teens and I complained when I learned that she got rid of them. The new stuff just wasn't the same.
Pretty sure all my He-Men stuff disappeared. Didn't notice until I was 11 and someone at school offered me $5 a piece. Suppose it wouldn't have made much difference in either outcome.
My mother had a day care kid that stole all my Star Wars action figures. I replaced them several years ago and added the rest from the original releases 77-85. Got the same good feeling from the new ones.
Having your stuff thrown out is better than what I did, which was downright stupid. After growing out of my toys in my teenage years, I took them all to my parents' backyard and played golf with them. Every Transformers, TMNT, M.A.S.K, GI Joe, Visionary, COPS, Silverhawks, etc toy was destroyed (I remember having to pick up all the pieces). Like I said, just plain stupid especially since I'm trying to buy them all back as an adult.
