For those who are looking forward to the Preacher show based on Garth Ennis' notorious and highly regarded comic book series, here's a surprising spoiler on a marquee name cameo:
Binge watched Daredevil season 2 today (on episode 11). It's hard to top the first season since it was so amazingly good, but they made a good run of it in the follow up season. The new characters are what made things interesting year. The Punisher is the best version we've seen so far, though his storyline seemed to drag. Elektra was awesome - what a psycho. She's very different than what's presented in the comics, even whimsical at times, but what a fun character. Overall, a definite recommended watch, but the pacing seems a bit slower and tries your patience at times.
I forgot that the Netflix Voltron show debuted last week. 11 episodes available. I didn't have high hopes for it, but it turned out to be pretty good. The last episode especially impressed me.

You gonna pick up that Sideshow Voltron figure? I can't make up my mind about it:) it looks so badass!
Been recording the Preacher show on AMC. The first four episodes are painful to watch. The story drags and is very boring. The fifth ep gets interesting and the latest, the sixth ep, is bananas. It's a slow start but it looks like it'll pay off in the end. Fans of the title be warned: the story doesn't really follow the infamous comic book at all.
I was told by many people to watch Stranger Things on Netflix, and I'm glad I did. What a well-directed, acted and paced show. Very interesting premise in that it falls into the sci if horror genre.
Very cool, Agents of Shield is one of the few superhero universe shows I still watch (plus Arrow and Gotham). I was disappointed with the end of last season after I thought it had a very strong run of interesting episodes up to the mid-series break. Ghost Rider looks promising, hopefully he's not just a one episode bump in the road.
Solid season opener. I haven't watch AoS in a while so didn't know half the characters, but it was easy enough to follow. There was a lot of setup material due it being the season opener and was certainly a slow burn. Of course, the reason I tuned in was to see Ghost Rider. And he didn't disappoint. A great interpretation of the character and the CGI was very impressive, especially the transformation. Looking forward to seeing more.
Really liked the first two episodes this season, they are once again building up some good mystery just like they did in the early stages last season, just hope they can also deliver the goods at the end (unlike the flat/predictable ending of last season). Ghost Rider kicking butt so far.
I'm hoping to get a chance to sit down next week and watch yesterday's episode two and the upcoming episode three (as well as the Luke Cage show that's being released on Friday). Good reviews on the season so far.
Finished off 10 out of 13 episodes of Marvel's Luke Cage on Netflix. To my surprise it is as good as the critic reviews say it is. So far, I like it less than Daredevil S1 but more than Daredevil S2 and Jessica Jones. Cottonmouth is a great character, almost a good a showing as Kingpin. Pacing is better than all the other Marvel shows, IMO, but it is certainly a slow burn type of show; less high energy fight scenes and more character development. The only episode I haven't liked so far is episode 4, which is the origin story. Marvel can't seem to miss these days.
Stayed up late to finish Luke Cage. Overall a very impressive series. I always had problems with Marvel Netflix episode 13s, but this series had a good ending (though Cage had some preachy, eye-rolling speeches at times). Highly recommended. Really looking forward to Iron Fist now, which is being show-runned by the executive producer/writer of many great shows including Dexter, Six Feet Under and Rome.
