This + D800 is my dream setup (might add to that a few prime fixed focal lenses too)

This is one of those happy accidents. I forgot that in Av mode, it keeps the shutter open as long as it needs to properly expose the shot, and the flash is just for light fill. So as I'm wondering why my camera won't take the next shot, I'm swinging it around and fighting with a one year old who took off. Finally the shutter snapped shut and I didn't even look at the photo until this morning.

They are reindeer indeed, today I visited a Sámi community for my masters-research. Had to get up at 4:45 in the morning. So I am really tired now, but it was nice ;-)

Got a package in the mail, despite not ordering anything lately. It was from Germany, so I was somewhat confused. When I opened it, I remember that I had agreed a field guide to use one of my photos, and in return they sent me a complimentary copy of the book. It had been so long, I had forgotten about it.

Nothing special...Grabbed a new lens and finally stepped into the faster glass category. Picked up a Tamron 70-200mm f/2.8 VC USD SP whatever whatever for my Canon...I must admit, I was stunned at the image quality. I had great expectations, but for me, this is leaps and bounds better than I really anticipated. This pic is shot in jpeg on my Canon 700d/T5i no edits no nothing. Standing about 3 feet from my pooch, and popped a quick shot.
