Random question... do new Kato's still have the Factory Pilot etching on the inside of the lens or did only the first batch have them? I recently got a pair of sapphire from a reputable store and just happened to notice that they don't have the etching on the inside of the lens. I've compared them to my 2 other Kato's and I can't find any evidence that they are fake but it made me wonder if somehow they were sent some fake ones.

If Oakley is still etching the inside of the lens then I want to send these back and get a legit pair!

That etching was only on the first batch of colorways. The newer ones don’t have that etching anymore.

I am on my 5th pair and have literally just sent a pair back, do you think for returns they will start rolling out this updated design? They must have so many people sending them back, as they only last about a month per pair as I use them very regularly.

I guess there was an actual Chrome and not Prizm black as mentioned in the Xeus thread. Whatever it is called, they need to release these in all the major frames sooner than later.
